KUNSTWERK KÖLN IS GERMANY’S LARGEST SELF-MANAGED ARTISTS’ HOUSE. BUILT IN TYPICAL INDUSTRIAL STYLE, UNDER MONUMENT PROTECTION AND DIRECTLY ADJACENT TO THE NEW EXHIBITION HALLS.

KunstWerk Köln is situated in Cologne-Deutz right next to the trade fair center (Köln Messe). It’s Germany’s largest studio building which is run by its own tenants. It’s built in a typically industrial style, parts of the building are registered as German historical heritage. More than 150 artists, artisans and musicians work in 80 studios, workshops and 11 rehearsal spaces. During the yearly events “Mülheimer Nacht” and “Museumsnacht Köln” (museums and artist’s spaces all over town open their doors for one night) the public can visit all the studios in KunstWerk Köln.

The Project Space at KunstWerk offers a diverse program and shows exhibitions and performances of local and international positions.
